When I get discouraged, I remind myself that nothing worth having comes easy.

Right on! i’m always ticked off (but I hide it) when someone who has never written a book (or something longer than a five page essay) offers suggestions.Unless I ASK for for an opinion, I’d rather just have their awestruck praise (LOL) that I took the time, did the work and was self disciplined enough to complete a 300 or more page project.Other wise, they just don’t get it. As for my writer friends, I am amazed (since most of them hold full time jobs) that they find the time to write. Those folks really have tenacity and discipline and my hat is off to them.

Well said! I have a tremendous amount of respect for writers. xo

This is great that you touched on this subject. I feel no one has the right to judge another’s writing unless they are in the business of critiquing, and asked to do so. I prefer to give only praise as those that make the effort to write deserve a pat on the back
